Jordyn Franklin is a day and night time postpartum doula supporting new and growing families.
My official training in postpartum care has been through DONA International at Bastyr University. I have also been “trained” by my own 4 children that I’ve spent the last decade birthing, nursing, and raising. :). Caring for children has always been apart of my life. I have twin sisters 10 years younger than me that I practiced “momming”, and I was a nanny for years through college and young adulthood before marrying and having my own kids. I sort of stumbled upon this work through a series of divine events, but it feels as if my whole life had prepared me for doula work.
Postpartum recovery, bonding with baby, and integrating as a family is a joyful yet very vulnerable time. My hope is to create a peaceful, safe, and encouraging space as I support you through your recovery and getting to know your new baby. I believe that prioritizing holistic care and support can aid in recovery and overall satisfaction of the “4th trimester”. I love providing families with education, information, and to model safe newborn care so that you can make the best decisions you can as the parent(s) of your child! By the end of our time together, my hope is that you won’t be viewing me as the best with your baby, but that YOU feel confident in your ability and role in parenting your child!
It was so amazing having Jordyn as our birth doula! She met with us in advance, and we were able to create a list of birth preferences to talk through with my OB. She was so reassuring and comforting as first time parents with lots of practical information and advice. It was also helpful to have someone to text the weeks leading up to delivery with all my questions about my symptoms and what to expect. When my water broke, we immediately called her, and she was at the hospital with us pretty much from the beginning. Both my mom and husband agree that she was such a huge asset to have in the room. She offered suggestions to the nurses in a very humble way and really worked with them in a partnership. She helped me with each contraction and taught my husband and mom how to support me. When things took a turn in my birth, it was so helpful to have her there to help me make decisions and to be assured that everything would be okay. My birth ended up being very different than I expected, but I'm so thankful we had Jordyn there every step of the way. She even came to the hospital a couple days later just to check in on us. Then, she came over once we were home with baby. We are so thankful that we got connected to her and had her as our Doula!!

We are so thankful we found Jordyn! This was our third baby and our first birth in a new state! Since my previous labors were fast and we’d used doulas before, we were unsure if we really needed one this time—but hiring Jordyn turned out to be the best decision we could’ve made. And it was wonderful to have another consistent person who was part of my birth team who I felt comfortable with.
She brought such a calm, Christ-centered presence that instantly made me feel more at peace. Jordyn was incredibly comforting, attentive, and hands-on throughout the entire experience. Even though my husband is very involved as my birth partner, Jordyn added so much value—supporting both of us in ways we didn’t even know we needed. She worked beautifully alongside my husband and never took over his role—just enhanced the whole process with grace, wisdom, and compassion.
Her experience, warmth, and faith-filled heart made a big difference in our birth experience. We are so grateful to have had her by our side and highly recommend Jordyn to any family looking for a supportive, faith-based doula!

We had the BEST experience with Jordyn as our birth and postpartum doula. She met with us beforehand to help create a birth plan and answer so many of our questions as first-time parents. She was a resource to us leading up to the birth, and was with us every step of the way. It was so comforting to have her with us at the hospital to coach us, support both me and my husband, and be a sounding board for any decisions that came up. Postpartum she supported me with breast feeding and gave both me and my husband some much needed rest during several night shifts with us.
